Key Importance of an Optin Page

An optin page or form can come in different formats. It could be on a landing page or a pop-up that will be activated when a visitor takes a certain action.

The main function of an optin page is to collect the email of your visitor and build a relationship with them and eventually introduce them to your product. It will be foolish to just send them to a website and immediately start selling. Yes, some people might buy, but statistics show that most people who visit your website do not buy on their first visit and therefore you do need to grab their attention by offering them something of value in exchange for the email details. This is much easier to convince a stranger to do than to sell your product immediately.

What happens after they have given their email address?

The next step is to ensure you have a very good email sequence ready. You will continue to add value to the client in daily emails. These emails must be designed to encourage people to open them and then to build trust and authority so that they become interested in buying from you.

You might think that this only applies to a Digital Product, the answer is no. Email subscribers matter just as much for Physical Products. Example: I might be very interested in a Bluetooth speaker. I will do some research online and will probably find a few websites selling Bluetooth speakers. At that moment in time, I am only doing research. I am not yet at the buying stage. If the site does not have an optin prompting for my email, I will just exit and might never go back to the site.

It is of utmost importance to always have an email strategy in place, no matter what you are selling.

How to Set Up Your Opt-In Page

The key to a successful Opt-In Page is the following:

Your page needs to be very clear. Easy to read with no distractions except for the action button that needs to pull the attention of the visitor. They need to know exactly what they need to do and what they will receive.

If your headline can identify a problem they might have and your subheading can tell them you have the solution it will make the conversion easier. Also, try to keep the email marketing form above the fold. You do not want your visitor to scroll to read further.

What you need to remember. Building a big list is not important – building a highly targeted and engaged list is what matters! Make use of valuable giveaways and not just a simple cheat sheet or ebook that they could have found on the internet for free anyways.

If you are going to make use of PLR products, make sure you go through them and see if you will find them valuable. If you do not, then the chances are they will also not find it valuable and you will end up with a subscriber that will not open emails or even mark it as spam. Your freebie counts.

You want each subscriber to engage with your emails whether it is clicking on a link, replying to an email, or even sharing. Make sure that happens by offering that valuable content. In Builderall we have the Magazine App and I have found it to be the monster of all lead-generation machines because it can be used to create an amazing lead-magnet.

Another tip is to make sure that the information you want to collect is plain and simple. Do not ask for more information such as country and address unless you have to. People do not normally part with a physical address, especially these days.
